The 2007 semi-annual meeting of the RRBO was held in Tam Dao (Vinh Phuc province) on July 14, 2007. Present at the meeting were more than 50 members as representatives of provinces and relevant organizations. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thuat- Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, cum Chairman of the RRBO, Mr. To Trung Nghia, Director of the Institute of Water Resources Planning cum Head of the RRBO Office and Mr. Tran Sy Vinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Water Resources (MARD) co-chaired the meeting.

The meeting addressed critical changes and challenges in water resources management and in Red river basin planning management which require enormous efforts and close coordination among the members of the RRBO itself and with other related organizations for the sake of integrated water resources management in the basin.
