On May 12, 2006, a group of the IWARP’s staffs accompanied the mission of the Central Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control headed by Mr. Le Huy Ngo to Ha Nam province for inspection of flood control preparedness. From May 30 to June 1, 2006, the IWARP sent a mission to Ha Nam, Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh provinces (those are under its direct responsibility) for the same purpose. This is one of the IWARP’s regular tasks assigned by Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development in the Decision No. 1287 QD-BNN-PCLB dated April 14, 1999 relating to inspection and speed up of dike maintenance, storm and flood prevention and natural disaster mitigation.
