In the framework of the project “Study on Analysis of Sustainable Water Resources Use”, a project mission came and discussed with the RRBO Office on potential cooperation activities for the project implementation on August 24, 2009. This is a project funded FAO and JICA and implemented in 3 years (2008-2011) in 4 countries: Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and China. The project aims to promote sustainable water resource use for agriculture in the Asia Pacific region through capacity development and policy recommendations. Cau river basin, a sub-basin of the Red-Thai Binh river basin is selected for the case study on water use and allocation in the basin. The RRBO will consider possible cooperation areas for the project implementation.
