Following the completion of the four workshops on water allocation and water rights, the fifth one was successfully held by the NARBO Secretariat in Manila, Philippines on May 29-31, 2007. The 5th workshop focused on in-depth discussion on water rights and finalized the technical paper on water rights which is expected to be useful to NARBO members. Specific country cases and experiences with recommendations on how to take the water rights agenda forward into implementation were presented at the workshop.
From Vietnam, Mr. Le Van Hoc and Mr. Bui Nam Sach continued their active participation in the event together with the presence of Ms. Dang Thi Lan Huong, Chief of the Surface Water Resources Management Division (Department of Water Resources – Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment).
